This post was created in connection with my appointment as an Ambassador in the Popsicle® Blogger Program.
Popsicles are in abundance this summer and they have been the perfect treat to help us stay cool. Our newest favorite are the Air Head flavored popsicles!
My little guy loves the blue Air Head popsicles, my little girl loves the white ones. I love the white ones too, it’s a mystery pop and you just don’t know what you are going to get.
So what do you do with the popsicle sticks all summer long? After watching them go into the trash, one by one, a light bulb went off in my head. Why not make something fun with them?
Both of my kids love bracelets and these popsicle stick bracelets turned out to be a lot of fun for craft time.
I dug this craft up from none other, Pinterest, and they were so easy to make.
How to Make Popsicle Bracelets:
- Collect all of your popsicle sticks, rinse and clean them off
- Boil the popsicle sticks on the stove for at least 1 hour
- Carefully bend the popsicle sticks and place them inside of a glass, wrapping themselves around the inside walls
Tip : Choose your glass carefully, smaller glasses are better for small wrists
Tip #2 : Expect that some of your sticks may split, boil extras
- Let the popsicle sticks dry inside of the glass for at least 24 hours before removing
Once the popsicle stick bracelets are dried and ready – let the kids decorate!
My kids are simple so they decorated with markers, stickers and they were so proud of their creations. If you feel a little more creative, you could mod podge some scrap booking paper around them and make some festive bracelets with team colors for back to school, for Halloween (Yes, it’s coming up!), the ideas can be endless.
