Joovy Ergo Caboose Stroller Review

Some people like to call me a stroller hoarder, I like to call it a different stroller for different needs. As a mom, we all have our own image of the perfect stroller. In my own collection, all at one time, I’ve owned an umbrella stroller, a tandem stroller, a side by side stroller, a Joovy Ultralight Caboose sit and stand and now the Joovy Ergo Caboose Sit and stand.

You are probably thinking… geesh, she is a hoarder! But really, I don’t think I’m alone in this one. We have many different needs, which different strollers take care of each one. From traveling, walking through theme parks, a quick trip to the store with one kid, shopping in stores with tight aisles. We had so many strollers because we just couldn’t find a stroller that met every need, until we tried the Joovy Ergo Caboose.

 Joovy Ergo Caboose Stroller Review

When I received the opportunity to review the Joovy Ergo Caboose sit and stand, my collection seriously went from 5 strollers down to 2 strollers.

We kept the umbrella stroller for quick outings with the little one, and kept the Joovy Ergo Caboose Sit and Stand. This stroller meets every single need that all of our other strollers just kind of pieced together.

Keep reading to see why the Joovy Ergo Caboose is the Rolls Royce of strollers.

Comfort and Customization

This Summer alone, we have traveled to California and Nebraska, with another drive down to Texas in the planning stage. We take long walks with our kids in tow and want them to be comfortable.

The Joovy Ergo Caboose offers an add-on option of Deluxe Seat Covers, they are soft, plush and really unlike anything I’ve seen on a stroller. The Deluxe Seat Covers come in Blueberry, Red,Greenie, Purpleness, Orangie, Black and Brownie. If you are purchasing this stroller, the covers are definitely a must have.

Sun and Weather Protection

When we travel to parks, the first thing that takes notice is the abundance of strollers around us that are covered up with blankets and attached umbrellas. That’s not a problem with the Joovy Ergo Caboose! The oversized canopy offers full sun coverage to not only the child in front, to the child sitting in the back.

Removable Tray or Snack & Drink Cups

The Joovy Ergo Caboose will grow with your child from birth through toddler hood. Included, you will have the option of using an infant seat attachment, a snack tray that goes across your child or snack cups to hold both drinks and snacks for your toddler. Andrea is very much in a “In and Out” phase with the stroller and the snack cups work very well to give her that independence.

Removable Canopy

The extended canopy that covers the rear child comes with full sun protection and mesh sides for easy viewing. While we keep this on 99% of the time, it’s a nice feature that the canopy can be removed from the back if needed.

Storage Capacity

The problem with a lot of double strollers is the storage options. The Joovy Ergo Caboose has one of the largest undertow baskets that I’ve seen on the market. I can hold a diaper bag, blankets, drinks, camera and so much more. The basket can also be accessed from under the front seat or the back seat. This is my absolute most favorite feature! Finally, no more hanging diaper bags and other items from the handle bar!

My Experience

I’ve received non stop compliments about the Joovy Ergo Caboose stroller since receiving it back in May. I wanted to really use the stroller and take it on real life experiences before writing about it.

My first impression of the Joovy Ergo Caboose was pure excitement. The design, construction and durability of this stroller far surpasses any other stroller from my collection. When folded down, the stroller is nice and slim and doesn’t take a ton of effort to move around. While the weight, 29 Lbs of stroller, seems like a lot, the Joovy Ergo Caboose is 15%-20% lighter than other double strollers on the market. Steering feels like I’m gliding through butter with very little effort.

I’m simply in love with the Joovy Ergo Caboose and my only regret? If I would have found it sooner, my money could have been saved from the other strollers that were in my collection.
