The Fellowes 69Cb Shredder is the perfect gift for someone who is looking to make updates in their home office. Sure, it isn’t the traditional Christmas gift, but for a family like ours it would definitely be welcomed. We are making updates all over our home, as you have seen in our Home Makeover event. Products that are functional, make my life easier, are safe for the children, and made to last are greatly appreciated, even at Christmas.
Fellowes 69Cb Shredder Features:
· Cross-Cut technology with Fellowes’ Jam Blocker feature, an electronic sensor that measures paper and prevents overfeeding.
· SafeSense® technology, an advanced electronic safety sensor that surrounds the paper entry and automatically disables the shredder when hands come too close. Great for homes with small children and pets!
· SilentShred™, a whisper-quiet motor that alleviates common shredder noise concerns. Perfect for homes where a baby may be sleeping in the next room.
Our last paper shredder was purchased about a year ago, at the time we thought that it was a great one! At least the price tag made me think it was a good one. Apparently the amount of junk mail that we had to shred over the last year was too much for our shredder to handle and it died.
It was time to get a new paper shredder, one that was safe around my children and one that was going to last through piles of junk mail.
Upon opening the Fellowes 69Cb shredder I knew this would be a product that gadget loving people would appeal to. The bottom is equipped with wheels for easy moving and the controls on the top are amazing for a paper shredder.
I’m in love with the SafeSense technology and it works very well. My children are curious and like to play with new things in the house. One day I was shredding a ton of junk mail and my kids came up to stick their hands in the paper entry. Immediately the paper shredded sensed their hands and shut the shredder off.
I also appreciate the Fellowes Jam Blocker feature. I’m known to grab a handful of papers to shred them at once, which is probably why my other shredder had a short lifespan. The Jam Blocking feature works to measure the amount of paper you are putting in and prevents you from shredding too many papers at once.
My last paper shredder was so loud and we would always have to wait until the kids were up from their naps to use it. The Fellowes 69Cb shredder features a silent shred performance feature, and it really is quiet. I was able to have conversations on the phone while using it and the caller didn’t even realize a shredder was being used.
If you are in the market for a new paper shredder, this is definitely one to add to your comparison list.
The Fellowes 69Cb machine is available at Staples and Staples.com for a suggested retail price of $179.99 or you can grab it on sale at Amazon.com for $149.98.
