How to Choose the Best gift for Father’s Day!

I am blogging on behalf of Walmart.com and received compensation for my time, but the views expressed here are solely mine, not Walmart’s. Shop online and save money to live better at http://www.walmart.com.

The best gifts to receive aren’t the ones you ask for continuously and drop not-so-subtle hints about. Don’t get me wrong, those are good gifts (hope I haven’t lost anyone yet!), but not the BEST gifts. The best gifts are the ones that you have mentioned in passing and forgotten all about. The ones that you open and the first thing you say is a genuine “WOW! How did you KNOW I wanted this?” There’s something so touching in KNOWING that someone listened, remembered exactly what you wanted, and went out of their way to get it. That’s the kind of gift I’m going for this Father’s Day! Luckily for me,Walmart.com is helping me to do just that.

How to Choose the BEST gift for Father's Day!

A little background might help you understand why this is so important to me. Just recently, we almost had a disaster in our home. Our deck started to pull away from our house! For four weeks, my husband and another family member got out there  and built us a brand new deck. Along the way, my husband discovered many tools that he would like to have in his collection. With Father’s Day coming up and a list of DIY projects that he would love to tackle, I’ve been scouring Walmart.com to surprise him with some of those gifts for Father’s Day!

Walmart.com provides a one-stop shop for all things Father’s Day! Whether the father in your life has mentioned how convenient a new tool set would be while knocking items off your “honey-do” list, or how cool the furniture in his friend’s man cave is, surprise him with something that lets him know you’ve been listening!

You’re busy and don’t have the time to hop from store to store in search of the perfect gift – I get it. Save gas and avoid the hassle of crowds by selecting and buying a gift on Walmart.com from the comfort of your own home! Site-to-store pick-up and free shipment options make shopping online at Walmart.com a more economical solution than traditional shopping. So don’t just settle for mediocre this Father’s Day! Listen for the gift idea hidden between the lines, then head right on over to Walmart.com to make that gift a reality!

What’s your gift idea this Father’s Day?

Yikes, scary about your deck, but great they could build a new one! Tools or man cave stuff is always a good bet. Eeek, I haven’t decided what to get for Father’s Day yet! I was thinking some grilling items!

My husband could always use more tools or at least he thinks so. It’s great because I always have a back up plan when I can’t come up with anything better.

I think it’s always such a genuine and heartwarming surprise when you receive one of those unexpected how-did-you-know gifts! It really DOES show that someone took the time to listen. My dad loves watching his movies so I’d probably give him a gift certificate so he can add to his collection!

I still haven’t decided what to get my husband for Father’s Day this year! I know several things he wants, but I will probably end up getting him a gift card and letting him pick it himself.

That is really scary about you deck! I am glad your hubs was able to fix it. I can’t even begin to think how hard that probably was!!! My husband is making an outdoor table for me right now using sort of rough materials (pipe and reclaimed wood) and it will be on casters, which I can’t wait for. But in the process he, like your husband, has mentioned some tools he could use. I might go that way or I might go the techy way (as he is a techy at heart)…I guess I don’t have much time left though. I better decide! ha!

My hubby loves to buy his tools at Walmart. They have a great selection at affordable prices and it is close to our home for a last minute stop if we forget to buy something. The deck is adorable.
