We received a gift card to check out the Back to School supplies at Kohl’s. As always, all thoughts are my own.
This summer has flown by and we are right around the corner from back to school. Can you believe it?
I’ve been dreading back to school shopping, mainly because of my knee injury that happened in June. Getting out of the house with crutches is difficult and getting into a store is even harder. I’ve been pondering of ways to get the kid’s their supplies, including sending my husband out with a list. He wasn’t too thrilled about that idea.
Just when we were about to go store hopping with a big clunky wheel chair, we heard that Kohl’s was now offering back to school – one stop shopping! Through a partnership with Office Max, Kohl’s is now offering all the school supplies needed from folders to notebooks and pens to pencil cases.
Kohls is already on our list of places to visit and this just made me really happy that we could go shop for everything in one place. I’m all about simplicity!
We got out of the house in my wheel chair, made it up to our local Kohl’s with $300 in hand. I brought along the kid’s school supply list and hoped for the best!
On the kid’s school supplies list I was able to find mostly everything, the only things that were not at Kohl’s were the boxes of tissues. We picked up pocket folders, a school supplies carrying box, composition notebooks, pencils, erasers, watercolor paints, crayons, glue, post it notes, markets and dry erase markers. Everything was neatly positioned in the aisles and shopping was a breeze! Even in a wheel chair.
Andrea is still in the early childhood program, so while she didn’t need a ton of actual supplies, we were able to pick up a few outfits for her back to school wardrobe. We selected 2- pair of jeans, 4- cute tops and a pair of leggings. I’m in LOVE with that star shirt!
Andrew is off to first grade! He wanted to keep the same backpack from last year, since it was good condition. If you are in the market for a backpack, Kohl’s had tons of them! His choices from Kohl’s were 3- pairs of jeans, 4- shirts and a Minion lunchbox! I love that there was such a wide selection ranging from character tops that he would love and even some stylish tops that I loved.
Both kids were in need for some new shoes and socks. Summer time has been full of flip flops and we never replenished the shoes after last school year. Andrea picked out some Twinkle Toes shoes from Sketchers and Andrew also picked out some S Lights shoes from Sketchers. Light up shoes are the thing at this age!
For the first time ever, Kohl’s has become the one stop shop for school supplies and clothing. Our shopping trip couldn’t have gone better, we checked out with a 20% off coupon code and even received $60 back in Kohl’s Cash!
