White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s Cake Mix Cookies Recipe

White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M's

White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s are a brand NEW flavor that is exclusively sold at Walmart, right in time for Easter!

Have you seen this new flavor at your Walmart? I found them in the middle of the Easter candy aisle. Check the locator here to see if your Walmart carries them.

Carrot Cake is the best Easter time dessert! I grabbed a couple of the White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s and made my way home to whip up a tasty Easter time treat.

My favorite way to make cookies is with a cake mix, they always turn out extra soft and gooey. Have you tried it before? You really should if you haven’t.

For my Easter time treat, I decided to make some cake mix cookies by using a Carrot Cake mix. They turned out amazingly good, not overpowering and the white chocolate of the M&M’s added the right amount of taste.

Unfortunately for my little one, these were not nut free. If you need to make these nut free, they could definitely be done without the M&M’s and still be good. Maybe not quite as good though :)

Even though he couldn’t eat these special cookies, my little guy was such a helper and had a fun time helping me prepare them! At school, he learned about Humpty Dumpty and really thought all of our eggs were meant to be cracked open like Humpty Dumpty. Thankfully, I had an old carton in the fridge that he could go to town on. What a fun way to teach your kids some cooking skills!

Cake mix cookies are so easy to do. Seriously!

Instructions:

Grab a box of carrot cake mix, use about 1/3 cup of oil, 2 eggs and then throw in some mixings of your choice.

Turn your oven up to 350 degrees and cook them for 8-10 minutes, ours took about 9.

In our White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s Easter Cookie recipe, we used this recipe along with 1/2 a bag of White Chocolate Carrot Cake M&M’s.

If you find that your mixture is a little too sticky, add a little splash of oil until you can work it around without sticking to your spoons and spatulas.

We have a handy dandy little cookie scooper, it looks just like an ice cream scooper but much smaller. Drop small spoonfuls of the mixture, or 1 scoop, onto the cookie sheet. I spread my cookie sheet with parchment paper, it makes it so easy to remove the cookies and their shape turns out nice and fluffy.

To keep things easy…

Grab a can of Whipped Cream Cheese frosting and spread or pipe the icing on. This icing is delicious on carrot cake cookies, but doesn’t harden very well. Just keep that in mind when storing them. In our case, they didn’t make it long enough to worry about long term storage.

Top each cookie off with a little Pumpkin Pie Spice.. and YUM!
