Webkinz Interactive Plush Toys Make Awesome Stocking Stuffers!

I’ve seen Webkinz around before, even purchased one a time or two. Never did I realize that Webkinz are more than just a stuffed animal.

We received the Webkinz Butterscotch Retriever and the Webkinz Rockerz Dog.

One look at this adorable dog and you’ll want to fetch a Butterscotch Retriever right away! Speaking of playing fetch, they’ll definitely have a ball with their Tennis Ball Launcher! And after a day of play, feed your hungry pet some delicious Butterscotch Pancakes!

Everything is “irie” with the Webkinz Rockerz Dog! Move your feet to the Reggae beat when this dog gets the sets going in their Reggae DJ Booth! And make sure you feed that hunger with the hot island flavor of Spicy Chicken and Rice!

Each Webkinz comes with a Secret Code, then which you go online to the Webkinz website and “adopt your pet” with the code. When your secret code is registered, the pet is then brought to life and can be played with in the Webkinz online world.

My 5 year old was really excited when I told him how these animals could be adopted online, how he could name them, and even play online with their virtual presence.

Andrew has a fascination with naming things “Blue”, so our Webkinz Butterscotch Retrieiver’s name is now Blue. He really liked being able to go online to the Webkinz World and create an adoption certificate, there is even an option to print it!

My kids really enjoy playing online and I love that the Webkinz World is a safe place for him to play. It’s fun that I can have a moment to play with my kids online, help them read what is being said, and interact with them while they create their own little world.

Webkinz is also on Facebook and available as Webkinz iPad app, for the older children this is great! While I had a lot of fun playing with the Facebook version, my 5 year old seems to prefer the website more. Webkinz on Facebook allows you to build a little town and when we tried to play, Andrew had to rely on me a lot to read the writing and to direct him how to build his town.

Thankfully there are a lot more Webkinz to collect and as he becomes more comfortable, the Facebook game will become more appealing to him.

Webkinz makes awesome stocking stuffers! I’m eyeballing Webkinz holiday gift guide for more great ideas. The Reindeer would be perfect, so would the Winter Fawn.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Webkinz. I received a product sample and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

I had heard of Webkinz but never actually took the time to learn what they were. They are actually pretty cute and my son is still playing with the golden retriever. I picked the reindeer one up for his stocking, trying to decide on which one to get my little girl. Did you end up getting one for your kids?

I think that happens with a lot of toys. Perhaps with the cold winter months coming ahead, the little guys will make their way out of the closet :)

I’d never seen them before (but I don’t have kids) Love the reindeer one.

I never knew about these until about a year ago when one of the kids mentioned them.  Apparently they are big hit with them.  Would make a good stocking stuffer!

My kids got Webkins last year from their grandma and they played with them for quite a while but when the summer hit they kind of went in the closet.  They were on the computer just about everyday when they were using them.

I love Webkinz, and so do the kids.  My niece and nephew each have a collection of Webkinz, many of which I bought for them as gifts.  I’ll definitely have to check out the Interactive Plush Toys.
