Eczema is a chronic condition of dry, inflamed, red skin and we have been fighting this in our home since my son was 3 months old.

When my son was little we were asked by his pediatrician to use steroids on his face and body, while this worked for a short time my husband and I felt horrible about using strong medications on his face at such a young age.

We wanted to look into other avenues instead of using steroids and began our search on the internet.

We have had luck with a few natural baby products, however I’ve been looking more into options that help treat Eczema naturally with the use of Essential Oils.

To make a natural cream for treating Eczema, start with an unscented lotion and blend 20-25 drops of an essential oil to every 8 ounces of lotion.

A few of the essential oils that are helpful with treating Eczema are Chamomile, Tea Tree, Geranium, Clary Sage and there is a Lavender essential oil from LiveTru that I’m going to be trying.

Lavender is probably one of the most commonly used essential oil when treating Eczema due to its anti inflammatory, calming and anti bacterial properties. Also, there are extra added benefits to using Lavender as it is known to support your immune health and helps to alleviate stress.

Many of these oils offer different healing properties and can be blended together to create the perfect combination.

Have you tried treating your Eczema or your child’s Eczema with a naturally made remedy?
