Summer is coming and it’s coming quickly. The kids will be out of school and I know we will be hearing every day “I’m bored… can we go swimming.. can my friends come over?” it’s inevitable. So my mission this year was to find an outdoor toy that my children could get tons of use out of and would solve the problem of being bored.

If that is really possible..

I was recently offered an opportunity to check out the Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park from Blast Zone. The minute I saw this water park the fun memories that my kids could make started to run through my head.

Blast Zone offer a selection of bounce houses for every need and budget. From inflatable water parks, inflatable bouncers and commercial moonwalks, there are hours of backyard fun to be had.

Okay so check this out.. The Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park weighs in at a whopping 100 Lbs! When my mailman dropped it off my jaw dropped, he wouldn’t even carry it up my front stairs. So I’m being upfront when I say that this bounce house water park is a BEAST!

We plopped the box onto a dolly and wheeled it into our backyard. Set up was really easy. Just unfold it on the ground, attach the blower, turn it on, anchor it down and hook up the water hose.

Tip: You will want two people to help with this process.

The Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park was made to be used either wet or dry. I let my kids go down before adding water and they didn’t slide very well. The slides are steep enough for water but using it dry you will want to use some sort of slide mat or a pillow case. The bounce house was super fun, wet or dry, and the slide issue is something that we can work with.

The instant we had this water park bounce house set up we had kids lined up outside of our backyard. I’m serious! It’s like they had instant radar that we were about to have some massive fun. I started to sing that song “My slides bring all of the boys to our yard” ha!

So the nitty gritty.. The Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park comes with dual slides, a mini slide, a bounce house and a mini splash pool. The bounce house area was secured with a safety net that was crafted with commercial grade materials. The suggested weight limit was a maximum of 6 children, each weighing up to 100 Lbs. That day we used it we had 5 children from the age of 3 up to 8 years old and it held up extremely well.

Our kids played for hours and hours, I had to pry them off at the end of the day. My neighbors and I instantly saw this amazing toy that was going to bring so many memories, photo opps and entertainment for our kids this Summer.

Then it was time to put the Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park away. I was scared. Weighing 100 Lbs, this thing was a beast again to put away. We turned off the hoses, dumped the water out, turned it back on and let the bounce house dry out. Once we let it dry out, the fun came when folding it back up to put away. The Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park comes with a carrying bag about the size of a big duffle bag, I really didn’t think that it was going to fit in there. It took about two tries to make it work but the bounce house did end up fitting into the carrying bag.

Now that we have had our first experience, next time I would expect to let the Rainforest Rapids Bounce House and Water Park sit outside for a day or two before putting it away. The kids are going to want to play every day and it’s not easy to tote back and forth.

So my overall impression? The size is something that we are going to have to work with because the kids had an AMAZING TIME. We now have hot and boring days taken care of, summer birthday parties are taken care of and the cost of this slide will have itself paid for in just a few uses.
