Get Your Kids Energized About Reading in Scholastic's Summer Reading Challenge

Tomorrow is the last day of school and I’ve been preparing for this day. As a first grader, my child has grown leaps and bounds with his reading. Some of his favorite books include chapter books, books that explain “How or Why” and of course, he still has a great love for books like the Magic School Bus.

We’ve worked hard this school year and want to help him keep this knowledge over the summer months. This is why I have partnered with Scholastic in their Summer Reading program.

As part of our partnership, Scholastic sent us a goodie box filled with books, bookmarks and activity sheets to get started in the summer reading program.

Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge

I encourage you to join us! You can visit the Scholastic Summer Reading program online and sign up right from their website.

This year’s challenge is “Power Up & Read” and it encourages children to keep reading. The more that your child reads, up to 12 original short stories by best selling children’s authors will be unlocked.

This summer, Scholastic has partnered with ENERGIZER to run the Summer Reading Challenge and to help encourage their kid’s with fun ways to grow the joy of reading.
