Stepping Outside of Apple Juice with Mott’s New Fruit Flavors

This post is sponsored by Motts. All thoughts are my own.

Kids have many passions in life, often changing year by year as they grow. My 6 year old is fueled by his obsession of washing cars and my 3 year old is fueled by picking dandelions and being apart of it all.

Since the age of 10 months old, Andrew has grown attached to his cars. This could be because he is a boy, or it could also be a shared passion with his daddy. He sure does love being a Daddy’s boy.

When we go outside to play, his passion for cars is fueled to the extreme. He wants to wash the car, suds it up, soak it down, scrub the wheels and wash the windows.

Andrew tells us that one day he wants to work at the car wash. Mommy and daddy tell him that one day it would be better to own that car wash ;)

Because our little guy is growing up, he doesn’t think it’s cool to enjoy things like apple juice anymore. Andrew’s choice of drinks are usually the high sugar drinks, drink pouches and all of the things that parent’s cringe over.

Of course I don’t let him drink these things, but every once in a while juice is a nice treat.

So Mott’s sent us some of their new fruit flavors – Fruit Punch Rush and Wild Grape. They also have another flavor that rocks, Strawberry Boom, but we didn’t get the chance to try that one.

The new fruit flavors from Mott’s are made to appeal to older kids, ages 6-12 years old, and they definitely appealed to my 6 year old. He’s been eyeballing the box since the day it came to our house..

“Mom, can I have one now please?”

“Do you really have to take pictures of this, can I drink it now?”

“Mom, ca’mon.. I’m realllly thirsty and need one!”

Of course the little one had to chime in too :)

After checking out the details, I was pleased to see some of these stats in the new fruit flavors from Mott’s

  • Contain 40% less sugar than fruit juices
  • Contain no artificial sweeteners
  • Offer 100% daily value of vitamin C
  • Gives my kids one full serving of fruit per cup!

Can’t shake that with a stick, right?

My kids definitely had their preferences, my 3 year old loved the Wild Grape Surge and my 6 year old loved the Fruit Punch Rush. They were a nice break from the every day water and milk.

Do your kids want to try it out themselves?
