Spreading Some Cheer with My M&M’s – Free ROAK Printable!

It is so much more fun to give, than it is to receive. That’s something I truly believe in, and would like to pass along to my children. I try to reinforce this throughout the year, but it seems like it’s around this time of year that there are the most opportunities to really drive the point home. The stress, however, usually kicks in when it comes to choosing the perfect gift. I spend more time trying to decide what to gift people, than anything else.
Sure, it’s the thought that counts. If I’m going to gift someone though, I want it to be something they truly enjoy… not a gift that takes up room in the back of their closest waiting to one day be re-gifted.
The trick to the perfect gift?
I rely on two rules of thumb: Get Creative. Get Personal. I’ve found when you follow those rules, you simply can’t go wrong. Getting personal doesn’t mean that you have to put the person’s name, or anything like that. You can add a personal message that fits the person or situation as well.
For example, I printed out personalized MY M&Ms in bright fun colors. I choose positive sayings for them like; be kind, live life, give hugs, and smile. I then printed out happy and inspirational messages on a card, and attached them to each M&Ms tin. We plan on taking these tins to pass out everywhere we go. To the bus driver. At the grocery store. At the gym. And to our neighbors and family. We want to have these tins on hand to gift out whenever we come across a person that might need a little cheering up, as well. The kids are excited about it, and so am I!
