Neosporin Essentials For Eczema

Here in our house, we dread winter time. Not because it is cold and dreary out, because my son has a mild case of eczema that makes him miserable when the air gets dry.

We have tried many things to control the itchiness that eczema can bring. When I heard about the Neosporin Essentials for Eczema we were excited to try it, specifically the Daily Moisturizing Cream as it has been clinically proven to relieve dry, itchy skin due to eczema.

Eczema on Legs

My son is four and has been battling eczema since he was three months old. At the time of receiving the Neosporin Essentials products he was dealing with a batch of dry itchy skin on the calves of his legs.

This picture was taken before trying out the products.

We used the Daily Body Wash during each bath, after bath we slathered him down with the Neosporin Daily Moisturizing cream and during the day we used the Anti Itch Cream when he would have spouts of itchiness that wouldn’t go away.

Eczema with Neosporin Essentials

After first use of the Daily Moisturizing Cream Andrew immediately stated how much he liked it. I’ve used it on my hands a few times as it is safe for children and adults, my hands deal with bad dryness during the winter months. I really liked the thickness of the cream and my son seems to go longer between itching phases during the day.

We did our regimen for four days, this included two baths, on days without the baths we used the daily moisturizing cream right before bed as nighttime seems to be the worse, and we used the anti itch cream just a small handful of times for random spouts of itchiness during the day.

My Thoughts

We have had success with many eczema products of over the years, many of those worked for some time and then the effect seemed to wear off. The odd thing about eczema, at least with my son, is that some things will work better than others at different times. We like to rotate the products that we use to keep his eczema under control and will definitely be adding the Neosporin Essentials into our routine.

I’m going to pick some of this up for my knee replacement scar. With intensive physical therapy the surface is crackimg and it’s really painful sometimes, so maybe this will help. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the review…I like using Neosporin for first aid, I didn’t know that they made products for dry skin! I could really use something like this during the winter months when my skin gets itchy, dry & tight.
