How to Preserve the Quality of Products in Your Stockpile

There’s a thin line between hoarding and stockpiling apparently. That’s what my wonderful Husband has informed me, at least. In my opinion, it’s all about perspective! While he may not necessarily understand exactly why we have what he considers to be “billions and billions” of rolls of toilet paper and paper towels stored in the garage… he also likely doesn’t realize just so often I actually run to the store to replace these things. To me, It just makes sense to have extras stocked and on hand when you need them. Not to mention, buying the products in bulk while they’re on sale is a whole lot less expensive than waiting until you run out and are no longer in a position to bargain hunt! 
Well, as with most things in life, we were luckily able to come to a compromise. While we will work on building our stockpile, we have a designated area in the garage where the items will be out of the way. The only concern that I had was about preserving the the quality of the products while they’re in there. There’s something about a garage + paper products that just SCREAMS accident waiting to happen. Could you imagine going in to reach for the last roll of toilet paper, only to discover it has mold?!?! YUCK! We DEFINITELY don’t need THOSE kind of issues.
We found the perfect solution!
The Duck® brand just introduced a new feature to their line of Easy Liner® shelf liners. Easy Liner® with Clorox® are antimicrobial protected and can now be found in their Solid, Super Grip, Smooth Top, and Select technologies. The antimicrobial protection helps prevent the growth of odor-causing mold and mildew. This is a feature that won’t disintegrate over time, even if the liners are washed! Before we start to stockpile, we’ll first line each of the shelves with Easy Liner® with Clorox® to protect both the shelves as well as our precious products! The final result I’m hoping for? No more impromptu TP trips at the last minute for Mommy!

I really want to set up some shelves in our home so I can easily store my stockpiled goods in one spot. I love the idea of these liners and definitely want to use them. It’s the first I’ve heard of them!
These shelf liners would be perfect for my pantry — I never thought to line the shelves before. Isn’t it crazy the amount of toilet paper and paper towels a family can go through?!

Liners are a grew idea. I laughed when I saw the stockpile of paper towels. Yep, I guess I’m a stockpiler. lol
My husband and I do are best to stock up on extra supplies for the house but we quickly run out of space so we’ve been considering remodeling part of the garage for that purpose. This post has excellent ideas for how to go about that, thank you for sharing! :)
You can really count in Chlorox to protect your stockpile. It would add a layer of protection with the Chlorox Easy Liner.
