The backbone to my organization is Microsoft Office Outlook. Between deadlines in my business and appointments for my children, I would miss a lot of important events without reminders.

Microsoft Outlook allows me to create a color coded calendar for each event and view it on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. When an event is created in Microsoft Outlook, reminders are sent to me via a popup Office reminder each and every day. With our family vacation coming up this feature works great to set up reminders such as a packing list, reservations that need to be made, and tasks that need to be done before we go.

How many times have you left to go on vacation and forgot something
when it was too late to go back?

microsoft office mail

I receive hundreds of emails a day and organization is a must have. Microsoft Office Outlook keeps me organized not only with email folders, but with advanced sorting options. Conversations between one contact can be grouped together, sorting can be done by so many options, and I particularly love that I can easily search for that important email itinerary that has all a sudden disappeared into a sea of emails in my inbox.

I’m not good with numbers, though my husband is. Thankfully Microsoft Office Excel has a budgeting template built in to help me create a family budget. In the past my organization has included a notebook and a pen. I’m very new to excel, however the included notes, tips and templates make creating a family budget so easy to do. I’ve even taken Microsoft Excel to a new level and started a budget for our family vacation. Now I will know how much money we will be spending by estimate, can track how much we actually spent and plan our tourist activities based on how much money we have available.

Microsoft PowerPoint is not just for business presentations! When we get home from our family vacation, all of our photos can be compiled into a PowerPoint photo album and easily shared with friends and family via Microsoft Office Outlook.

Microsoft Office has been the most important software that I’ve ever installed on my computer, when switching to Mac I was pleased to see that there was a Mac version as well.

Mom’s love to be organized and Microsoft Office is the perfect gift to help with all of her day to day activities.
