Pepperoni Crescent Pizza Rolls Recipe

Pizza Rolls on Dish

Crescent Rolls and Pizza.. what could be a better combination! I’ve been looking for some fun food ideas for the kiddos and this yummy idea popped up on none other… Pinterest.

I pinned this recipe under my “Raising A Toddler” board and while it was great for the kids, it also turned into an awesome quick snack idea for our game night! This would be great for football food too.

Comments from my guests : “Where is the grease? With pepperoni there is usually grease and I see none!” “YUMMMMM!” “Man o Man” and my thoughts were “So light and fluffy, just perfect!”

So here is our version of the Pinned Crescent Pepperoni Roll Ups from PlainChicken.com.

What you need to make Crescent Pizza Rolls:

  • Refrigerated crescent rolls – 1 Can makes 8 Pizza Rolls
  • Pepperoni – First try I used 2 slices (perfect for the kids) I like them with 3 slices
  • 4 String Cheese Sticks (Per Can of Rolls) – I used Mozzarella / Cheddar Twists but Mozzarella only would be good too!
  • Garlic Powder – (Kids didn’t care for the powder, but the adults loved it)
  • Pizza Sauce

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

Unroll and separate all eight triangles from your crescent roll package. Place your pepperoni on the bottom layer, then place half a piece of string cheese on top. Roll the pizza roll just as you would a regular crescent and I lifted the sides up to help keep the cheese in. Then sprinkle the garlic powder lightly over each roll.

Cook for 12-15 minutes (Ours took 15 minutes) and serve with a side of pizza sauce.

happy baby

I have to try this one also. I love crescent rolls to begin with and my grandson would enjoy helping with making these.

I’m totally going to do this! FYI cheese sticks cut in half also fit perfectly into a hotdog sliced down the middle to make great cheese dogs.

Definitely something my kids would eat. I wouldn’t mind these either especially the texture of the Crescent, nice and flakey.
