Our Transition to a Springfree Trampoline

Shares

We purchased our first trampoline just 2 years ago, mainly going off of recommendations of friends and family, the choice of trampoline was a basic 15 foot with a safety net.

Fast forward two years, this is a picture of our trampoline and it’s destruction after sitting outside for 2 Summers and 2 Winters. The net has torn down and the padding has ripped to shreds.

The trampoline that appeared to be oh so safe..

We were in the market for a new trampoline and it couldn’t have been better timing when Springfree Trampoline invited us to try out one of theirs. On the way, was a Springfree 077 Medium Oval Trampoline.

I bribed our neighbor to help my husband coordinate the installation of our new Springfree Trampoline. This is definitely an installation that will take 2 people.

We received 3 boxes that were all neatly packed with parts.

First step was the frame. All they had to do was connect the frame by using the color coordinating stickers. Easy peasy!

Next Step. Slip each of the rods through the connecting holes on the FlexiMat, then push the rods into the Springfree frame.

TIP: The directions weren’t completely clear about this step and we first installed the rods with the FlexiNet portion laying on the inside (as pictured).

To make sure that the FlexiNet will reach upwards and around the soft framed mat, place the netting around the outside of the frame when inserting the rods.

The Soft Edge Mat of the Springfree Trampoline was the hardest part of the installation and definitely takes two people to get it done. The boys worked together, one sitting underneath the trampoline and the other on the outside. They pulled the mat and pushed the rods into place, one by one, alternating one end of the mat to the other.

The Springfree Trampoline FlexiNet is attached by the mat rods in 54 connecting points, making sure that there is absolutely no way that anyone could fall off of the soft edge mat.

The FlexiNet uses black flexible rods for stand up support and each rod connects into the Springfree frame. At first, we were nervous about falling into a net with flexible rods. After watching the kids do it a few times, we all began to appreciate the cushion that they provide, versus jumping into a hard steel pole.

The entire install process took about 2 hours and we quickly lost daylight towards the end. Thank you daylight savings..
