Nut-Free & Delicious Cookies from Skeeter Snacks | Review
Most of you know that my four year old son has an allergy to both tree nuts and peanuts. What you might not know is that an estimated 6 million adults and children are effected with these same allergies.
Included in those numbers are two dads, Pete and Dave, that have children of their own who are affected by nut allergies. These dads created “Skeeter Snacks” to offer great tasting, nut-free, and affordable snacks that children with and without food allergies could enjoy.

We had the opportunity to try out the three flavors of cookies offered by Skeeter Snacks, Chocolate Chunk, Skeeterdoodle, and Golden Oatmeal. My son’s favorite was the Chocolate Chunk, hands down! I enjoyed the Skeeterdoodle.
Skeeter Snacks are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. In my opinion these are just as good as the real chunky cookies that aren’t safe for my little monkey. We love them and have adapted Skeeter Snacks into our home. I’m excited to see what comes beyond the cookies for Skeeter Snacks!

A summary of the problem , Peanut and Tre nut allergies are the most common, fastest growing incidence, potentiallythe most dangerous and the few sufferers will out grow the allergy.
Their products are nut-free but do not taste like allergy-food.

It’s nice to know they are made in a facility with no nuts. I work in a small school where a student is VERY allergic to nuts. We try very hard not to have anything that was even made in a facility with nuts just in case. Thanks!

Thanks for the post. It’s helpful to those of us who have children that go to a nut-free preschool. It’s great for the school to be nut-free but definitely a challenge when purchasing snacks. Will definitely be trying these!

I would like the skeeterDoodle. Deep down I wish that they didn’t have egg or dairy as well since my 2 year old has those as well as peanut allergies. These would be great to send with my other kids to school though since there are many with peanut allergies.
I love that there are no nuts in cookies, so difficult to find snacks can send to school with kids nowadays.
I learned that they deliberately narrow their focus to safety, great taste and affordability. Of course they use great ingredients, but they will leave it to others to try to be all things to all people

we do not have nut allergies ourselves, but both kids had classmates who do. Nuts are good, but it’s wonderful to be able to share a treat with company and not worry.
