Nissen EnviroSafe Gymnastics Mat a Must Try for Your Active Toddler

Shares

My little girl has been a climber since she was 10 months old. Not long after she started walking we signed her up for a Parent and Me tumbling class at our local gymnastics studio. She’s been doing it for a year and a half and is now at the top of her little class. I thought that gymnastics would give her an outlet for her climbing but the plan backfired a little because what I really gave her was complete confidence in her abilities. It gives her Dad a lot of anxiety when we go to the park. She’s escalated her daredevil antics to new heights at our home like jumping off the back of the couch, climbing on top of the dressers, and hanging upside down off the bed.

When the offer came to review the Nissen EnviroSafe gymnastics mat (All thoughts 100% my own) it sounded like a perfect fit for our family.

Gymnastics Mat

This gym mat is not only safe for my little one’s tumbling; it also is safe for the environment. It’s made of a polyester fiber that is 100% recyclable, toxin free, fire retardant and mold and mildew proof. There are 4 foam choices ranging from soft to firm for low and high impact tumbling and 14 color choices for the cover. There is a row of 2” wide Velcro on both ends so that several mats can be linked together. And if you like to support American businesses you’ll be happy to know that they make their mats here at their facility in the US!

I like how easy it is to wipe clean and it folds up in thirds for easy storage. My husband has raved about this mat since the day we got it. He’s a very cautious Dad and is so happy that she has a comfortable and safe place to practice instead of on the thin rug covering our hard wood floors. I’ve also put the gym mat in our kitchen to let the baby play on it while I’m doing dishes. I don’t have to worry about him falling on our kitchen tile and it’s large enough that he has a nice area to cruise around on.  The cover seems very durable and as our little gymnast grows I think we’ll need to purchase additional pads to link together. As soon as she asks for a beam you better believe I’ll have some of these gym mats underneath.
