Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando – We Celebrated with Julius Jr!

disclosure

Last weekend, the Nickelodeon Suites Resorts rolled out the orange carpet for an exciting preschool event with Julius Jr. My children and I hopped on a plane to take part in the festivities, our weekend was so full of excitement!

The Julius Jr. extravaganza took place January 9-11. This weekend long event included a cast of characters and activities from some of Nickelodeon’s most popular  TV shows, such as Dora the Explorer, Bubble Guppies and more.

Our Arrival

We arrived on Friday, the day before the weekend event, and got acclimated into the Nickelodeon Suites Resort. Upon arriving, we got settled into our room up on the 4th floor. Our view was amazing and it was cool to see that no matter which of the 777 suites you were located in, there was a view of both water parks and all of the outdoor fun.

The pre excitement began in our room when the kids were greeted with tons of Julius Jr. goodies from the Nickelodeon hotel. Thank you!

Accomodations

Our suite consisted of a Spongebob Square pants theme, there were 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and a mini sink area that also included a fridge and microwave. The fridge came in handy after night one!! Keep reading to see why.

As the Nickelodeon Suites Resort is situated on 24 acres, it is a walk from your room to the other attractions on site. We didn’t mind the walk as there was so much scenery to look at along the way, from the water parks, the mini golf, the spongebob decorated pond and all of the wild life that was seen. There was fun to be had no matter where you were in the resort.

Nickelodeon Suites Resort Mall

The Nickelodeon Suites Resort Mall is the hub of your stay. This is where you will find dining, character meet and greets, the gift shops, the 4-D experience, the 3,000 foot arcade, a Nick.com Cyberzone and more.

Dining with Food Allergies

My 7 year old has a peanut and tree nut allergy, making dining in new places a difficult experience. The Nickelodeon Suites Resort made dining with a nut allergy a breeze. My children dined at Antonio’s pizza, Subway and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle dinner buffet with no problems at all. The chefs were on staff to handle our dietary needs and answer all of our questions.

Sick Children While Traveling

Our Friday night turned into a nightmare. Not because of the hotel, but because my son spiked a fever and started throwing up. As a mother, traveling alone with children and no transportation, I was terrified of how to handle the situation. The Nickelodeon Suites Resort staff were so helpful, from finding me transportation to the closest urgent care, to providing a booster seat last minute and making sure that we had everything needed to get through the ordeal.

Don’t worry, everything is okay now. But this is where the fridge came in handy as it housed his antibiotics until we left.

Julius Jr. Meet & Greet Event

Thankfully, everyone was feeling better just in time for the Julius Jr. meet and greet event!

To be here for this experience was so magical. Andrea, 4 years old, had her dreams come true. The event started with a ticket drawing for a fun Julius Jr. prize pack, just like the one we received in our room! My little Andrew was picked to come up front and draw a name, his reaction was priceless. (See the video below)

After the drawing, we were treated to a special screening of a Julius Jr. episode, a meet and greet session with Julius Jr. and a Julius Jr. dance party.

The Best Time to Stay

Our weekend was magical and January seems to be one of the most perfect times to visit the Nickelodeon Suites Resorts. The character meet and greet lines weren’t horribly long and we were able to fit in most of the stuff we wanted to do.

On the last night, due to timing constraints, the kids had to make a decision to either visit the Double Dare Live show or eat dinner with the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. You can see how that decision went…

This sounds amazing! We drive to Florida at least once a year to visit family. This looks like a must-do stop. I don’t know how I was unaware until now that there was a Nickelodeon Hotel. It looks SO COOL in your photos!

That looks like a kid’s dream resort! To be honest, what I loved the most is your real story of how your son got sick and the staff was so helpful. I wouldn’t have known how to handle that, so it’s good to know they take care of their guests.

We passed it once. It sounds like a great place for families. Love the mini fridge exactly for that reason – meds, also milk.
