We’ve all heard the motto before: “New Year, New Me”. While it’s usually declared with the best intentions; the hype generally wears down within a few months, and old habits take precedence over new resolutions. The problem with most of us when it comes to sticking to new year’s resolution is having the right network and tools in place for when things get tough. That doesn’t need to be the reason this year! CVS pharmacy has the tools and supplies you need to help you successfully pursue your goals; regardless of what they might be.

Weight Loss and Health

Many people have a goal to lose weight in the new year. The MinuteClinic at CVS Pharmacy has partnered with DASH for Health to offer weight loss services; putting a new meaning to this goal. A nurse practitioner will help you develop a personalized plan, set goals, and keep you on track during your journey. After conducting an overall assessment, the MinuteClinic nurse practitioner will meet with you for one on one consultations to be a support system to you and help ensure you are effectively improving your health.

In addition to reaching a healthy weight, smoking cessation is a great way to improve your health in the new year. The MinuteClinic’s Start to Stop smoking cessation program pairs patients with a trained practitioner who will assess the patient’s nicotine addiction and create a customized cessation plan! This is a great way to help patients quit at their own pace. CVS has upped this initiative even more by making the decision in 2014 to stop selling tobacco products in all of their stores.
