A Night Under the Stars with Verizon & the New Moto Z Droid

Thank you to Verizon for sponsoring our visit to the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium! As always, all thoughts are my own.

Last week, my family and I were invited by Verizon to the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium here in Kansas City. It was a night under the stars, a guided tour of our constellations along a 60 foot dome. I’m 36 and have never been to a planetarium before, my kids were excited and I was excited to experience this with them for the first time together.

Before the live sky tour of Kansas City, Verizon had catered in some of the best BBQ in town, Jack Stack BBQ! We also had a chance to check out the new Moto Z Droid phone from Verizon.

If you thought you were up on technology, this will leave you mind blown… seriously.

Verizon introduced to us the Moto Z Droid phone, a device that is not only impressive by itself, it is also compatible with Moto Mods to turn this high-end phone into a solution for all of our busy lives.

If you aren’t familiar with Moto Mods, they are a line of modules that you can purchase separately and they attach to the back of your phone via a magnet system.

Intrigued? I was! When my son picked it up, my heart just kind of panicked. Don’t drop it!! Until we learned that the Moto Z Droid phone is shatter resistant. *Phew*

We were first introduced to the Moto Insta-Share Projector mod. Upon walking in, this device was projecting a movie on the wall for us to enjoy! I could imagine so many uses for the Insta-Share projector, from a movie night in the backyard to being able to share photos on your phone with a group of people or even presentations at your work.

The projector includes an integrated kickstand, up to 70” projection and a built-in battery for up to an extra hour of projection time. Retail is $299.99.

As a Samsung user, I had no idea that Moto has been innovating this kind of technology and it was really cool to see up close.
