Little Remedies For Children | Because Less is More

Cold and Flu season can be stressful, on both parents and the children. There are plenty of precautions to take in order to keep your family healthy, but we all know that it isn’t always possible to keep your kids from getting sick.

Keep reading for some tried and true tips for keeping families, especially kids, healthy during the winter months.

Little Remedies

My children have had their share of colds, and even pneumonia, this Winter season. This was my son’s first year in a school setting and I knew this probably meant we would be dealing with sickness. The second week into school he caught a cold, which turned into Bronchitis and then turned into pneumonia. It was so sad to see him sick and I did everything I could to make him feel better. You know he milked this for everything it was worth, and this momma obliged to every wish and command (within reason).

I do everything possible to keep my family healthy. These things include eating healthy, washing hands, not drinking after each other, etc. When the inevitable happens and my children become sick, I always try to go for the more natural ways to make them feel better.

Little Remedies was introduced to me after my son was born, he was very unsettled at night and we could never calm him down. My husband and I called this his 6 O’ Clock meltdown. After total desperation, some friends recommended Little Remedies Gripe Water.

Little Remedies uses a “Less is More” approach with their products. This means that the only ingredients that each product contains will only be the ingredients needed to help your little one feel better.

I was uneasy about giving my newborn medication, after learning about Little Remedies being a safe and gentle solution my life was changed. Within minutes the Little Remedies Gripe Water worked! Every single night when he had his 6 O’ Clock meltdown the Gripe Water would completely calm him down.

Little Remedies® products do not contain any artificial flavors, artificial colors or alcohol and are created with the very specific needs of children in mind.
Little Remedies® Everything they need. Nothing they don’t.™

Little Remedies children medicine Now that my kids are a little older, our needs have changed. Little Remedies Gripe Water may no longer be needed, but things like cough medicine and fever reducers are.

Little Remedies for Colds Honey Elixir helps to soothe coughs and sore throats due to the common cold or flu. This is made with honey to help your children’s throat feel better naturally. What’s even better, the Honey Elixir is safe for toddlers 12 months or older!

Little Remedies for Fevers Infant Fever / Pain Reliever is perfect for fevers, aches and pains due to the cold or flu, sore throats and even tooth aches.

So what makes these better than the typical products on the market?

Little Remedies is created with children in mind. You can feel good about giving your child a medicine because Little Remedies is free of saccharin, artificial flavors, artificial coloring or dyes.

Here are a few tips from Colleen Padilla of ClassyMommy.com on how to stay healthy during the Winter months:

Scrub-a-dub-dub: Make sure to wash hands frequently and encourage kids to follow suit by putting out fun, kid-friendly soap dispensers. This is a simple way to stop spreading germs.

Crowd control: Make sure your child’s friends aren’t sick when they get together to play and vice versa – you don’t want your child to get their friends sick, either.

Cover up: Remember to cover your mouth when you cough – and suggest to your little ones that they sneeze or cough into their forearm or elbow so as not to get germs on their hands.

Bundle up: Before heading out, make sure that everyone is dressed to stay warm against the cold weather.

Disinfect your world: Clean high traffic surfaces in your house regularly to rid them of germs.

These sound great! I don’t even like adult medicines because they combine all symptoms into one medicine and you end up taking unnecessary medicine!

I like the less is more approach – this sounds good, and I like natural products as much as possible. It sounds much better than the natural remedies my old maid aunts would come up with concoctions with honey and rum and warm milk that I would gag !!!
