Kelty Speedster Swivel Deuce Double Jogging Stroller
One of the major things that turns most parents off about a stroller is the weight. Who wants to push around a child whose weight is ever-increasing in addition to another 50lbs just to go for a walk or a jog?
I received the Kelty Speedster Swivel Deuce in a very large box. I thought there would be a million parts to put together. I opened the box, took out the 4 pieces and was so relieved! All I had to do was remove the protective plastic wrapping, pop on the 3 wheels and I was good to go! The larger back wheels go on like butter. It’s seriously surprising how easy those things pop on. The front wheel takes a little more time, I’d say it took me 5 minutes to get all the wheels on.
Before the Kelty, I had a single jogging stroller. My single stroller was higher end than the little cheap stroller with the plastic wheels but it was very heavy and didn’t collapse down very far. Thankfully the trunk in my Jeep is pretty large so it wasn’t a big deal. With the Kelty Speedster Swivel Deuce, you can easily pop the wheels off and it will then collapse lower than I thought a double stroller ever would!

I love all the storage and thought put into organization on this stroller. Cup holders for your water bottle or coffee, a clip for your keys, a pocket for your cell phone plus a nice big area at the bottom for a diaper bag or purse!
Going up and down hills with one kiddo in the seat, I thought would be hard and the stroller would pull one way or the other. I am not kidding when I say I could push it one handed. “B” is a solid 28lbs on his own and because of how well built this double stroller is, I couldn’t even tell he was in it, let alone the only passenger.
While going for a stroll around the lake, I let my husband have a turn to push it. He was reluctant to push the stroller because his feet would always hit the back or rear axle and annoy him. The Kelty Speedster Swivel Deuce gave him no problems pushing our son around. He loved how the handle bar is adjustable to a height that’s comfortable to him and at 6’2″ that can be hard.
The Kelty Speedster Swivel Deuce is the perfect jogging stroller and handles with ease in the outdoors. While using this stroller during a shopping trip, we had a little difficulty maneuvering the stroller through doors and through store aisles. However this can be a problem of many double side by side strollers, some stores just aren’t built for side by sides.
The learning curve with folding down the stroller is a small one. There is a hinge that you lock in place when using the stroller, when it’s time to collapse the stroller this hinge can sometimes get caught making it difficult to close all the way. Once you have closed the stroller a few times, this process gets a little easier.
The sunshade is incredibly long and covered B so much better than others I had seen. The only drawback to a long shade is how high it sticks up when folded back, it would be nice if the shade could fold back a little more so the view of my child is not obstructed. The great thing is that you can remove the shade, just as we did when the weather was cloudy.

I really liked the folding captions chair with tray and cup holder because most of these chairs are small and uncomfortable but the size of this chair make me think I willn’t be cramped in a small chair when we go fishing or camping!

I love that it’s lightweight and folds up – perfect for an apartment dweller. Also, I probably won’t run with it, but I need those jogging features to navigate my city’s very uneven terrain!
