Planet Wise Sports Bag Makes On the Go Cloth Diapering Easier | Review
As a mom with a child in cloth diapers I find myself carrying lots of extra and sometimes bulky items. No one wants to juggle 3 different bags for one kid, but sometimes that’s what I’ve been doing.
The Planet Wise Sports Bag from Nicki’s Diapers, is a backpack designed with waterproof material to meet the needs for moms on the go! Don’t let the name “Sports Bag” fool you. You don’t have to be a soccer mom or football coach to need one!
Let me explain. I have one plain tote bag for dry items that generally stays in the car. It has a change of clothes, shoes, toys, snacks, wipes, hand sanitizer, sunblock, bug spray, a sippy cup, and a spare diaper or two. Then I have another bag I keep just for diaper changing things like diapers, wipes, wet bags, and recycled grocery bags for wet or dirty clothes or trash. Then I have a separate washable wet bag that I put the dirty diapers in when we’re out and about. That’s a lot to juggle!
Since I received the Planet Wise Sports Bag wet bag my baggage has been cut in half! This lightweight bag is a no-fuss genius design.
One side of the bag is like a regular dry item bag- I can store a few diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, a couple toy cars, snacks, and a sippy cup in there.
When I need a place to store a dirty diaper, there’s a nice built in wet bag IN the same bag! No need to carry around 2 different bags for diaper changes! The PUL lines the wetbag portion of this Sports Bag and doesn’t get the stuff on the other side or the outside of the bag wet or stinky. The high quality polyurethane laminate (PUL) is not only waterproof but it is also anti-microbial! That means the growth of bacteria and fungi is inhibited.
I’ve even used the wet bag portion to store B’s wet clothes after leaving the splash pad. I love that the very front of the Planet Wise Sports Bag has a zippered pouch where I can stash my keys, wallet and cell phone. No more digging around all of the kid stuff in my big bag to find our keys!
Another thing I love about this bag is the size. The dimensions are approximately 17"x15" and the zippered pocket is approximately 9"x8". The Planet Wise Sports Bag is quite a bit bigger than the other wet bag I had been using. The backpack design is great because my arms are free to carry other things, like my camera or B.
I definitely recommend this bag to all the moms out there who are looking for a solution that will help them with carrying wet bathing suits this summer or wet diapers all year round!
