Houlihan’s Restaurant Drool Worthy Menu Items

If there is one thing that I look forward to each year on my birthday, it’s my birthday dinner at Houlihan’s. I just celebrated my birthday a few weeks ago and have been waiting patiently for the opportunity to get my friends and family together so we could go out and have dinner together.

Food Allergies

We haven’t taken Andrew to Houlihan’s before so I had to take extra precautions when it came to his peanut allergies. I gave the restaurant a call to check out the children’s menu items and had the pleasure of speaking with the general manager. He gave me the nitty gritty of how the chicken finger’s meal was prepared and all of the information I needed to make an informed decision about eating there. I think this is probably the first time EVER that we have felt this comfortable about eating out with Andrew.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, the waitress took extra precautions when ordering his meal. From preparing his chicken fingers down to the ice cream for dessert.

I never once felt “little” or like I was being a nuisance when ordering food for Andrew. Though Houlihan’s does not have a peanut or nut-free menu, they did everything they could to make sure Andrew would be safe eating there. I will come back, over and over again, because of this kind of service.

If you haven’t signed up for Houlihan’s emailing list, do it now! Every year, I get a happy little treat in my email with an offer for a free entree meal. Can’t beat that!

We went all out for dinner, starting with the Elderberry Martini. Made with Elderflowerliqueur, Cruzan Strawberry Rum, house made lemonade topped with sparkling Ruffino Prosecco. This was absolutely delicious! Perfect “night out or happy hour” drink for the girls.

The Classic Spinach Dip was amazing! It came with cheesy lavosh crackers that were the perfect compliment to this dip. This isn’t your average Spinach Dip that you have probably tasted before at other “Bar & Grill” type places. You must try this!

Stuffed Chicken. Need I say more? I had to splurge and get the best chicken ever, stuffed with garlic herb cream cheese.

So Houlihan’s has added a wonderful new menu featuring the “Lighter Fare” and every meal is under 590 calories. The Lemon & Herb Grilled Chicken and Sirloin Salad both looked amazing and I’m definitely ordering that next time.

I totally pigged out with my friends and family. But that’s okay! It was so delicious.

I’m heading back soon to order from the New Menu and you should too! The lighter fare menu doesn’t skimp on flavor – it features entrees, desserts and cocktails that are totally drool-worthy, all while being easier on your waistband.

They’re available for a limited time – make sure to head to your local Houlihan’s and let us know what you think using #SoEatingThis and @houlihans
