Children’s Angry Bird Bedroom Before & After Revealed!

childs bedroom

Next stop in our home make over project is in the children’s bedrooms.

This is Andrew’s room, before picture, and while it is cute, this room needed to be updated for a 5 year old.

Andrew’s toddler bedroom was pieced together with items that we found at a garage sale. Nothing matches and almost everything was second hand, with the exception of his furniture.

We did what we could, with what we had at the time.

Andrew’s little sister is about to get a new room as she is moving out of her crib, so we thought it would be a great time to give him a room that represents him. A room that likes to be in!

His first bedroom set came from South Shore furniture a few years ago and it has held up so nicely! The twin size captain bed with bookcase headboard is so perfect for a young child, so we decided to go the same route with his new bedroom.

The South Shore furniture bed that we went with is from the Clever Room collection. This is the perfect transitional piece for any bedroom that is small on space.

Andrew doesn’t have a lot of closet space, or storage in his room so the captain style bed was a must have. This full size platform bed is built with three storage drawers underneath, these are perfect for holding blankets, clothes, bed sheets, or even toys.

The full bookcase headboard is fit with two stylish doors, each decorated with satin nickel metal knobs. There are three sections in this headboard to give your child plenty of room to store their animals, toys, books, cars, or in my son’s case, his piggy banks, Angry Birds, and pumpkins. Each storage space within the headboard includes a fixed shelf, giving your child two places, within each section, to store their treasures.

Since Andrew’s birthday is in a few weeks, we went all out and decorated with Angry Birds from top to bottom. This is his dream come true!

I love that this bed from South Shore Furniture is perfectly styled to fit any child’s bedroom, boy or girl. The set up took several hours to do, spanning out over a two day period, but the instructions were easy to follow and we didn’t have any complications with the installation.

So now that Andrew has his new full size bed, his other bed is now going to Andrea to complete her big girl room.

Stay tuned to see how cute it turned out!!

I agree about the storage! His closet is so tiny and his dresser doesn’t hold much. It’s great to have extra places to put stuff.

Thanks for the inspiration! I won’t be doing Angry Birds because I’m doing a nursery for a little girl, but my kids will be sharing the room so I definitely need a kick in the pants to get started. Thanks for the kick!
