Glad Black Bag Art Auction To Benefit KAP Great America Cleanup Event

Spring is upon us and so is the Spring cleaning. When it is time for Spring cleaning in our house, this means going through the kids rooms and trashing all of the nonsense that piles up.

We find things like broken toys, old clothes that are too small and can’t be passed down, trash that accumulated behind my son’s bed because he was too lazy to throw it away.. The list goes on and the trash bags pile up.

We love to use Glad Black Bags for our Spring Cleaning tasks. They come in a 30 gallon size, allowing them to handle large trash loads. The black bags are made with a 3 ply strength to keep all of the toys from poking holes and the drawstring closure makes closing the bags quick and easy. These are our “go to” bags for all of our project needs, both inside and outside.

Glad Black Bag knows that life is messy and they are celebrating life’s wild moments with the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup Event. The Picker Sisters have teamed up with Glad Black Bag to find incredible and smart ways to reuse trash. We’ve all heard that one person’s trash is another person’s treasure and the Picker Sisters believe this!

By taking the expertise of the Picker Sisters and partnering them with celebrated mosaic artist Jason Mecier, Glad Black Bag is showing the beauty of turning trash into treasures.

Mosaic artist, Jason Mecier, has created four works of art using remnants of people’s trash from all over the country, as well as items donated by celebrities, such as Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon A Time), and Nathan Kress (iCarly).

These works of art are being auctioned off during the Glad Black Bag art auction on eBay from April 16th – April 26th, with proceeds benefiting KAB’s Great America Cleanup.

The Glad Black Bag auction supports Keep America Beautiful, Glad’s longstanding cause partner of 27 years who mission is to engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community environments.

What a great cause, everything we do to recycle and reuse benefits are children and grandchildren! It has been said many times they are our greatest resource but without recycling what will they have?
