Life is busy and organization is a must. I have two children who constantly have doctors appointments, a husband who always has something to do for work, appointments for my husband and I, appointments from my clients to do their hair and so on..

DoughMain.com is a FREE family organization website that not only keeps all of our family members on the same page, they also provide tools to help teach children about responsibilities and the value of money.

DoughMain Teaching Kids About Money

The Online Family Calendar from DoughMain.com is one of the many free tools offered.

 DoughMain Family Calendar

Completely customizable for each family member on your DoughMain.com account, you can color code events so even the youngest child will know what is on their schedule.

Setting up the family calendar was easy to do. I created an event, selected which family members would be involved, selected the option for an event reminder and submitted it into the calendar. Now each family member can stay up to date with events of their own or events from the entire family.

Also, to make things easier when my children get into sporting activities and school events I can import those schedules into the calendar, when their dates and time changes my calendar will update automatically! How cool is that?

DoughMain Family Chores

One of my favorite tools from DoughMain.com is the Kids Chore Chart Tracker. Now I can make a list of everything that needs to be done around the house and delegate certain chores to each member in the family. Because Andrew is 4 the only chore he has is to pick up his toys in the evening and feed the dog in the morning. Over time more chores can be added on a day to day basis or an ongoing basis. I love that DoughMain.com makes things easy by providing you with a list of chores to choose from that are age appropriate or you can even create your own chore.

Each day Andrew can log into the DoughMain.com website, see what he needs to do for the day and mark the chores complete as he does them, as of now he does this with Mommy’s help. When a chore is completed the parent is notified and can then approve the chore in question, as chores are completed Andrew will accumulate “Dough Points” and can redeem his dough points for things such as allowances that you set up or for other privilege’s such as a fun activity they have been wanting to do.

In addition to the Chore chart and family calendar, DoughMain.com also provides free money games for your children.

The games provided are geared towards children ranging in age from k-12. We have been teaching Andrew about the different coins and found the The Fun Vault game to be very entertaining.

Your children are going to play video games, why not make it educational and teach them about financial responsibility?

There are a lot of great tools on the DoughMain.com website that will not only make your life easier, they will help making the “becoming responsible” process a little more fun for your child.
