Curious George’s Town IOS App for Preschool & Kindergarten Children

Curious George’s Town IOS App

In between playing outside and picking on each other, my kid’s favorite activity is playing with the iPad. Electronics aren’t going away, so when they take time to play I make every effort to make sure the apps are educational and fun.

Recently, I was asked to check out the new IOS app, Curious George’s Town. An app that we thought would be loved by my 5 year old, was quickly loved by both him and my 3 year old girl.

Curious George’s Town IOS App

Curious George’s Town is a fun, learning app that teaches your child smart saving and spending habits while engaging kids in creating a virtual world complete with roller coasters, dinosaurs and farm animals.

Your child will start at the town and choose to visit the Pet Store, Library, Market Place, Bakery or Park. Each place will give your child life experience activities to complete in exchange for coins. Coins can be exchanged in the marketplace to buy items that they want to add to their town.

I love that this app teaches your child to plan carefully for what they want to buy. If they run out of coins, more activities can be done to earn more.

The bakery will give your child several activities which all lead up to creating a cake of their own. Curious George will challenge your child to find the right amount of candles.

To selecting the toppings that you would like to add on your cake. Then collecting the toppings to place inside of the jar.

And creating a cake with icing, toppings and the candles. When the cake has been created, your child can even interact and help George eat the cake.

Other activities in the game include feeding the animals at the pet store, recycling trash found at the park, sorting books at the town library, collecting the correct items at the grocery store, which will all help your child to earn coins to use for purchases in the store.

Do you remember me telling you about how your child will get rewarded for doing tasks at home through the Curious George’s Town app?

We know children will blow through the coins that they have to spend and will want a way to instantly get more. The fun part for parents, you can add daily tasks (such as picking up your toys) inside of the Curious George’s Town app and give your children the opportunity to earn coins for doing those delegated tasks.

I’ve never seen an app like the Curious George’s Town and really like the innovative way that they add learning, motivation and fun.

Seeing that both my 5 year old and 3 year old love this app, we definitely recommend it for any preschool or kindergarten ages children who are looking for fun new learning apps.
