Crayola Paint Maker – Holiday Gift Idea for Kids!

I love to stock the house up with Crayola products at Christmas time, they make great gifts and become life savers during the school year. This Christmas, Crayola has come out with a whole new line of products that have ironically ended up on both of my children’s wish lists.

Crayola Paint Maker - Holiday Gift Idea for Kids!

I’ve partnered with Crayola to check out one of this years hottest toys, the Crayola Paint Maker! Mix, shake and make your own washable paint. While I was nervous about a paint maker and the mess it might make, this toy totally rocked.

What comes in the Crayola Paint Maker:

  • Crayola Paint Maker
  • 15 paint pots
  • 2.5-ounce bottle of paint base
  • 75 color strips
  • 10 sheets of paper
  • 15 paint pot labels
  • Color mixing guide
  • Paint brush.

After putting together the Crayola Paint Maker kit, it was time to check out the color guide. Simply choose one of the unique 15 colors that you want to make, follow the instructions for how many strips of color you need and then start to play.

Grab a paint pot, fill it up with the included paint base, stuff in your MESS FREE color strips and close the lid.

Then turn the wheel and watch the paint mix up!

The Crayola Paint Maker is marked for ages 8+. While this toy would definitely be useable by a younger child, expect that you will be helping with 95% of the process. My 7 year old has no problem at all with the mixing of paint, yet my 4 year old doesn’t quite have the muscle strength to make the magic happen.

When you are all done making custom washable paint, attach the strap and your Crayola Paint Maker put it away for storage.

The Crayola Paint Maker is the perfect gift for any child this holiday season. Everything that you need is included, from the paint to the paint brush and even the paper.

My children have expressed their creativity to their hearts content and this momma is happy that they can do something “messy” without actually getting messy.
