The best gifts to receive aren’t the ones you ask for continuously and drop not-so-subtle hints about. Don’t get me wrong, those are good gifts (hope I haven’t lost anyone yet!), but not the BEST gifts. The best gifts are the ones that you have mentioned in passing and forgotten all about. The ones that you open and the first thing you say is a genuine “WOW! How did you KNOW I wanted this?” There’s something so touching in KNOWING that someone listened, remembered exactly what you wanted, and went out of their way to get it. Yikes, scary about your deck, but great they could build a new one! Tools or man cave stuff is always a good bet. Eeek, I haven’t decided what to get for Father’s Day yet! I was thinking some grilling items!
My ultimate gift I would like to get my Dad is a riding lawn mower. He dreams of having one and I would love to surprise him with one.

Anything homemade or with a personalized touch is perfect for my husband.
My husband could always use more tools or at least he thinks so. It’s great because I always have a back up plan when I can’t come up with anything better.
I think it’s always such a genuine and heartwarming surprise when you receive one of those unexpected how-did-you-know gifts! It really DOES show that someone took the time to listen. My dad loves watching his movies so I’d probably give him a gift certificate so he can add to his collection!
My hubby just got his first digital camera {!!}, so I plan on gifting him a ton of new accessories. Christmas I’m sure too! lol

That is really scary about you deck! I am glad your hubs was able to fix it. I can’t even begin to think how hard that probably was!!! My husband is making an outdoor table for me right now using sort of rough materials (pipe and reclaimed wood) and it will be on casters, which I can’t wait for. But in the process he, like your husband, has mentioned some tools he could use. I might go that way or I might go the techy way (as he is a techy at heart)…I guess I don’t have much time left though. I better decide! ha!
I like the variety you can find at Walmart. I admit I do most on line for Walmart just so convenient for me :)
My hubby loves to buy his tools at Walmart. They have a great selection at affordable prices and it is close to our home for a last minute stop if we forget to buy something. The deck is adorable.
