Friends Don’t Let Friends Eat Alone – Cheddar’s Giveaway!
Since becoming a parent, the biggest challenge has been finding time for myself, finding time for date nights and even finding time to spend with friends. Summer is the hardest. My friends and I are all trying to balance our lives between driving the kids to baseball, getting our time in at the gym, making sure our work priorities get taken care of, taking care of our spouses and we get left at the bottom.
What’s that mean for meal time? Take out, delivery, frozen dinners that we can squeeze in before having to run out the door again. We all have those nights in the summer when meal time gets less and less extravagant.
Last month, on June 8th, it was National Best Friends Day. A day that reminded me how special my friends really are to me and how it’s really time that we get together again.
What better timing, between the chaos! I called my friends up, gave them a free pass on dinner, no dishes, no clean up, no pizza boxes, and invited them out to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.
We ordered a little of everything from the menu, because really.. how often do you get to sit down to a nice made-from-scratch dinner (that you didn’t have to make!) with the girls?
I’m talking speciality cocktails, over-the-top spinach and cheese dip appetizers, steaks that were done to perfection and finished with a scratch-made chocolate chip cookie, topped with vanilla ice cream, homemade hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen has been serving this delicious made-from-scratch goodness since 1979.
Our meals were amazing and all made with quality ingredients, prepared fresh from the kitchen.
We had an amazing time, from enjoying the amazing food at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen to the laughs and entertainment of chasing pokemon around the restaurant.
It was simply a great reminder that we should never let our friends eat alone, laughter and company with our friends is good for the soul and while National Best Friends Day was in June, any time is a great time to remind our friends how special they are to us.

The best thing about Cheddar’s is that they are family friendly and have traditional Southern comfort food. There are not very many chain restaurants where you can get chicken fried steak.
