Cesar Share a Story, Share the Love #ShareTheJoy

Many people bring a dog into their family after having kids. Some bring a dog into the family instead of having kids. Around the age of 25 I started to go through a hard time, with work, with relationships, and life in general. I began to think that kids were not something that was going to happen for me. (Little did I know, right?)

To help fill that void in my life, I got a dog. Not just any dog, a Shih Tzu with enough personality for five children. Roxy was there to snuggle in my lap each and every night, she would curl up in a ball up by my pillow in bed, and whenever I needed a companion she was right there by my side. Many would say that Roxy was my child, before having children.

Cesar Canine Cuisine believes that a relationship with a dog can truly improve life, including people that are in need. Dogs can help lower stress levels, reduce anxiety, and even lower blood pressure. This is something that we could all use in our lives.

The unconditional love from a dog is something that is unmatched with any other. Roxy always knows how to make you smile with her wild ways of running laps around our house, laying up on the couch behind you just to rest her head on your shoulders, or even when she comes running to you after being away from home even for a short while.

Cesar created the Share a Story and Share the Love initiative, a social media campaign to help support and spotlight therapy dog organizations, to ensure people in need continue to receive the powerful benefits of a dog’s unconditional love.

The Share a Story and Share the Love campaign encourages dog lovers to share the heartwarming stories of therapy dogs through their social media communities such as Facebook and Twitter. In return, Cesar will share the love with three therapy dog organizations through donations that help continue the services they provide to people in need.

Has your dog helped you in a time of need? Share your story!

“I wrote this review while participating in an ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Cesar and received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

I think it depends on the breed and where you get the dog from (pet store or a dog breeder). Dogs are great at providing company and definitely help with the loneliness factor. The cleaning up of poop may or may not be a factor, our dog was potty trained and as she got older there were more accidents in the house. Depending on where you travel and how you travel, your dog could always come along with you! If you went with a smaller breed, some airlines will allow you to bring the dog in a crate up in the cabin with you but the dog will have to be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. Sounds like a dog could be beneficial to you, but there are a lot of factors to consider with your situation. Good luck with your decision and if you do get a dog I wish you lots of kisses and happiness with your new friend :)

I would love to have a cat, but unfortunately I’m deathly allergic to them : Dogs are great to have around, my little guy calls Roxy his best friend. It’s kind of cute actually :)

We don’t have a dog but after years of begging by my wife we got a cat.  I must say he isn’t as bad as thought, he actually acts like a dog sometimes.  With our work schedules it is impossible to have a dog.  The kids love the cat and its nice for my wife when she is home alone to have him around.  She really likes nap time with him!

I’m a divorced grandma with chronic pain issues  and can get lonely so a dog has been popping into my mind (that’s popping, not pooping). I’ve never had a dog and hate cleaning up after poop so I don’t know if it’s a good idea or not. It would have to be one already trained. I also don’t have a secure place to live and travel out of state a couple of times a year for a month or so to visit family. Any good ideas on how to make this decision? Money is an issue also but I would want to treat one as well as I do family. I like little dogs (small poop) but also think they have more health issues?
