I’ve always admired the dynamic of Italian culture. If there are any two main things that are emphasized in this culture, it’s food and family. When you really sit back and think about… what more than those two things do you really need anyways?! The downside is that while I’d love to enjoy huge delicious family meals around the table with my own family, I don’t usually have the time to cook up a good old fashioned recipe full of Italian comfort food. The good news? Bertolli already has me covered!

Francesco knew what he was doing when he opened his small storefront business in the town of Lucca back in 1865! Lucca happens to be the Tuscan heart of Italy’s olive growing region, and Bertolli set forth selling regional foods like olive oil, wine, cheese and olives. His philosophy was “There is nothing more beautiful than sharing great food and laugher,” and I agree! Apparently many others do as well, considering Bertolli has grown to include a broad range of restaurant quality pasta sauces, pasta, spreads, and even frozen meals.

Bertolli frozen meals have proven to be the missing link between my busy lifestyle, and those delicious family dinners I longed for! Every Bertolli frozen meal recipe starts with their authenticity expert, who rigorously test each new recipe in Bertolli test kitchens! Only the most authentic and flavor variations of the recipes make the cut!

The Bertolli Chicken Florentine and Farfalle is a family favorite of ours. It’s made up of bow tie pasta, chicken spinach, in a delicious white wine sauce. The sauces in Bertolli’s frozen meals are like now other! They’re made by sautéing garlic and wine, caramelizing onions, then adding lightly crushed tomatoes, and simmering it all together for up to two hours! Delicious! Each of the frozen meals are flash frozen to preserve the dish’s complex flavors and textures, brining an authentic Italian experience to your dinner table.

This year Bertolli is encouraging you to not just eat…. Mangia! Bertolli spoke to Italians and Americans and uncovered a few differences in the way they eat ( in addition to the fact that Italian’s eat way more pasta, of course). One key difference was that while 84% of Italians eat at the table with family and 70 percent of Italians eat family-style, only 31% of Americans eat family style! I don’t know about you, but I plan on changing that for my family!
