GM_Bottle.jpgThe holidays are upon us and we are bringing out the holiday recipe books. I love cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Hams, turkeys, side dishes and even the winter time meals that only get prepared during one season of the year.

Something about the holidays and the cold weather that brings out the cooking mood, and it isn’t just me! It seems like so many people want to cook, maybe because it is just to stinkin cold to go outside?

What else is there to do when it is cold outside besides cook and clean? I think I would rather cook…

One of my favorite things to cook with is GravyMaster, have you used it in your meals before?

I love that it has so many uses, GravyMaster is great to use as an addition to your favorite sauces and to lock in flavors of meat while grilling or baking.

Recently I came across a new recipe for Garlic Chicken on the GravyMaster website. I’m always looking for new chicken recipes, this has to be one of the most versatile meats to cook with! I’m really excited to try this one out.

Ingredients

6 cloves garlic or 3 teaspoons chopped garlic in oil
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon Gravy Master®
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Pinch thyme
1 chicken (2 to 3 pounds), quartered

Directions

  1. Press or crush the garlic and combine in a covered jar with the lemon juice, GravyMaster®, oil, salt, pepper and thyme; shake to mix.
  2. Let stand 1 hour, staking several times.
  3. Arrange chicken pieces in shallow baking pan in a single layer.
  4. Strain garlic mixture over chicken pieces.
  5. Bake chicken at 400°F. for 1 hour.
  6. Turn chicken and continue baking at 350°F. for 35 to 45 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 5 servings.

Doesn’t this look great? I love how juicy Gravy Master make yours meat, this dish is one I must try.

Do you cook with Gravy Master? You should give it a try! Master the meal and add it to one of your dishes this holiday season.
