Babycakes Chocolatier & Cake Pop Maker

Babycakes Chocolatier Mini Dipper and the Cake Pop Maker make baking fun and easy!

Babycakes Cake Pop Maker and the Babycakes Chocolatier

I love to bake, however I’m not the best at it. When I heard about the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker my excitement level rose, to mean that I could actually make creative little, delicious cake balls, without any experience needed, made me very happy.

I received both the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker and the Babycakes Chocolatier Mini Dipper for review.

Included with the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker is a fork tool, cake pop treat sticks, and a cake pop cooling and decorating stand.

Babycakes Vanilla Cake Recipe

In the instruction booklet for the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker there are a few basic cake recipes to get you started. Using what was on hand I quickly whipped up a batch of the Vanilla cake mix. Don’t you know that you will never have a box of cake mix on hand when you need it?

There is a recipe for red velvet cake mix included in with the instruction booklet… this is one I’m antsy to try out! I’m a sucker for red velvet.

Babycakes Cake Pop Maker

The instructions say to add about 1 Tbsp of batter to the Cake Pop Maker, you can do this either with a tablespoon, a ziploc baggie with the corner cut or a pancake batter bottle.

I was ready to roll and just used a tablespoon to scoop and pour. This worked great for me and made perfect little cake pops! A couple of the cake pops did overflow, however when the lid was opened the overflow easily came away from the cake pops.

One batch of Cake Pops took 5 minutes to cook. Not bad for 12 of them when it would take double the time in a oven for a batch of cookies.

Babycakes Cake Pop Cooling Rack

The Babycakes Cake Pop Maker is made with a non stick coating, no spray needed, and with use of the included fork tool the Cake Pops were easily removed from the machine.

Babycakes Chocolatier Mini Dipper

As the Cake Pops cooled I whipped out the Babycakes Chocolatier Mini Dipper. The Mini Dipper also came with a recipe book that included a few ideas for coatings and glazes. I went with the Vanilla Glaze as it sounded like a perfect match with the Vanilla Cake Mix. The Chocolatier Mini Dipper was so easy to use, plug it in and let it warm up. Your chocolates, glazes and coatings will all remain at a perfect temperature needed for dipping your cake pops.

Babycakes Cake Pops

Overall I’m very pleased with the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker. I love that this company not only created a fantastic cake pop maker, they are local to me and I’m happy to support them.

It was great to see recipes added to the instructions booklet as I was excited to get started and had no cake mix on hand. Love the ease of creating a cute little cake pop without the worry of overspills.

The handle of the Cake Pop maker did get a little warm during use and it is recommended to use a hot pad when opening and closing the lid. While this isn’t a deal breaker, I would like to see a little more user friendly handle that will prevent burns.

Babycakes Cake Pops Brownies

The Babycakes Cake Pop maker is super fun to use in the kitchen, from donut holes, cake pops to brownie bites you will have endless uses with this handy appliance. I whipped up a batch of brownie mix and they cooked perfectly in the Cake Pop Maker. For the coating I melting peanut butter chips and 1 tbsp of butter, topped the brownie cake pops and put them in the freezer to set. Perfect taste of heaven!
