Baby Bedding and Nursery Collections from Lolli Living by Living Textiles

Recently, we revealed our nursery / toddler room makeover.

When I chose the colors for my kids’ room, I wanted to add a touch of femininity for M. My inspiration for the nursery came from the Lolli Living by Living Textiles Poppy Seed baby bedding collection. The wall color was inspired by the Tigerlily Orchid Crib Sheet, Tigerlily Orchid Blanket, Musical Mobile in Owl, and the “Tweets in Tree” Wall Decal that I received from Lolli Living by Living Textiles. I really liked the teal color and blush pink from the decal.

After the paint was up, we put the crib together and added the Lolli Living nursery elements. I love the pattern on the sheet and blanket. Owls are my favorite animal so I was thrilled to have them incorporated in her decor. The Musical Mobile Set in Owl is girlish and whimsical with the bird, the owl, a frog, and a little mushroom character. The music played is the lullaby ‘Wiegenlied’ by Johannes Brahms.

I had some fun putting up the ‘Tweets in Tree’ wall decal! I love that you can arrange the pink, blue or orange birdies and leaves however you choose. I thought about the seasons and wanted it to look cheery and spring like, so we left the leaves on the branches.

We learned the hard way that even with decor, you should read the directions. The instruction slip with the wall decal recommended waiting three weeks after painting the wall to apply the decal. Well, of course we only discovered that after it was 75% up. The leaves started pulling away from the wall the day after I applied them. My husband researched a solution and found that a little bit of glue stick on the back will help them stick. It has worked so far! He explained that even though the paint we used is low voc it still puts off fumes that expel in the days and weeks after the paint dries.

We love the quality and colors of the Poppy Seed baby bedding collection. It’s great that while we only received a few pieces from the collection, everything can be mixed and matched to create the look that you want.

The baby bedding collections from Lolli Living by Living Textiles would make the perfect addition to any nursery.

I’m bad about reading directions, too – you’d think we’d have all learned by now, wouldn’t you? :)
