Advent Calendars for Children – Round-Up!

My children are finally getting old enough to enjoy a fun and festive way to count-down to Christmas. Last year, we did the simple paper chain, like the one I grew up with. So this year I wanted to do something that incorporated a fun little treat.

We have very little wall space to work with so I came up with this idea of making Christmas trees, with a hershey kiss present. To hang it up, you could do it on the side of a fireplace like mine or you could even tape them on a door frame.

Since I have two children, we will be gluing a second hershey kiss on the Christmas tree stick. If you only have one child, just glue one! This was a lot of fun and I like that the trees can be used again next year.

Using this christmas tree, save it into your Silhouette library and then make layers of it on the sheet. With a regular sized piece of construction paper I was able to do 3 trees across and 3 rows down.

Cut them out and then either print numbers out onto a sheet of vinyl or purchase a sheet of sticker numbers, these can be found in the scrapbooking section.

Hot glue a popsicle stick onto the back, hot glue a hershey kiss under the tree and then tape up to your door frame or fireplace. Wahh lah!
